Analysis of the Influence of Informal Creation of New Ventures on Imitative New Product Development Controlled by Improvements in the National Innovation System

Imitative new product development is a company's strategy in creating new products by imitating those of other companies. Imitative new product development can lead to low product efficiency due to the large number of similar products, making it difficult to obtain economic benefits. This study aims to analyze the role of informal creation of new ventures in imitative new product development controlled by the variable improvements in the national innovation system. Innovation is an important factor in new product development. Researchers used a descriptive quantitative method on 60 respondents who were met in person and virtually. The data collection process for this study was carried out using a cross-sectional survey approach. The data that had been successfully collected was analyzed using the path analysis method. The software used as a tool in processing research data was SmartPLS. Based on the results of the analysis, there was a direct influence of informal creation of new ventures on improvements in the national innovation system.
