Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of entrepreneurship learning and social capital on the entrepreneurial interest of state vocational high school students in Gowa Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The problem underlying this study is the still low interest in entrepreneurship among vocational high school students, most of whom are still oriented towards being job seekers rather than job creators, even though they have participated in entrepreneurship learning in the school curriculum. This type of research is quantitative research with an associative approach. The population in this study were all 478 state vocational high school students in Gowa Regency. Sampling was carried out using the Slovin formula with a sample of 218 students selected through proportional random sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The results obtained: (1) Entrepreneurship learning has a positive and significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of state vocational high school students in Gowa Regency partially; (2) Social capital has a positive and significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of state vocational high school students in Gowa Regency partially; (3) Entrepreneurship learning and social capital simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the entrepreneurial interest of state vocational high school students in Gowa Regency. These findings imply that efforts to improve the quality of effective entrepreneurship learning and strengthen students' social capital in the school environment are important factors in growing and developing sustainable entrepreneurial interest.
